Information supply is integral part of police operational activity, as daily employees need regular and simple access to the certain applications and information resources.
But access to the given resources may be complicated by the following factors:
- Large size of the network;
- Different throughput and its road junctions;
- Plenty of the channels of data transfer;
- Difference of information subsystems and hardware and software complex.
The scheme below shows branching of the network of Astana City.
The great deal of heterogeneous typical and specialized software makes difficulties for administration of this network (Figure below).

The single access system to the information and software resources was proposed and successfully introduced, in the result of research and analysis of above mentioned difficulties. See Figure below.

The scheme shows, Central service of registering, monitoring and technical support enables:
- To organize the single management of the whole network
- To provide maximum quality of employees with the necessary software applications
- To expand abilities of the use of computers, which become obsolete, for the package of new software
- To provide stable access to the package of software, using various technical devices.
Realization of the given solution is based on application of the following software products:
- CITRIX;
- MS Exchange 2003;
- HP OpenView.
