In 2004 mobile patrols were equipped with board hardware and software complexes, enabling to get access to any databases of DVD of Astana City.

Also patrol vehicles, equipped with board computers, were included to the single automatic system of Operational control center (OCC) DVD of Astana City. This increases quality, assists to control efficiency of revelation of crimes and violation of the law.

Software, installed on the patrol vehicles allows police officers to fulfill the following functions:

• To review and control detailed electronic map of Astana city;
• The search the name of the street and address on the map;
• To depict locations of the persons, who phoned to operator by the number «02», providing possibility to look through information from inquiry service «09»: telephone number, data and time of the call, address of the caller, and also data, time, description and site of occurrence;
• To depict current location of patrol vehicle;
• To determine the shortest route to the site of occurrence;
• To receive and view information of natural persons in database of Ministry of Internal Affairs of RK;
• To receive and view information of registered vehicles in database of Ministry of Internal Affairs of RK;
• To receive and view information of registered weapons in database of Ministry of Internal Affairs of RK;
• To receive and view information of citizens of RK in database of Migratory Police;
• To receive and view information of foreign citizens in database of Migratory Police;
• To receive and view information of natural persons, who are under the search, in database of Migratory Police;
• To receive and view information of registration status of citizens of RK and foreign citizens in database of Migratory Police;
• To receive and view information of the vehicles, which are in the search, in database of Traffic Police;
• To receive and view information of crossing by vehicles borders of Astana city in database of Traffic Police.

Module of access and view of information in database is in the left part of computer's display of board automatic workstation, module of objects' depiction, navigation and search on the map is in the right part.

Module of access and view of information in database performs the following functions:

• Connection to the server, which supports mobile automatic workstations, by input of name and password of the user;
• Receiving and view of information of citizens of RK and foreign citizens (registered in the main database of MPA) by input of name, surname, patronymic or number of document, and representation of received data of the citizen in appropriate form;
• Verification of authenticity of registration cards of foreign citizens by input of unique number of the card and view of the data, received due to the introduced card, if it is registered in the system, or receiving of the warning, if the card is unvalid. This function will operate in both cases, in connection with server and without it, when mobile terminal is equipped with local database of registration cards;
• Verification of authenticity of foreign citizens' registration cards by way of reading of bar-code data and view of the data, received due to the inrtoduced card, if it is registered in the system, or receiving of the warning, if the card is unvalid. This function will operate in both cases, in connection with server and without it, when mobile terminal is equipped with local database of registration cards;
• Check of citizens for their brining to management or criminal liability, applying database of Investigation Department of Administration of Internal Affairs by input surname, name, patronymic or number of document. This function will operate in both cases, in connection with server and without it, when mobile terminal is equipped with local database of registration cards;
• Verification of authenticity and loss of documents in database of “lost documents of MPA” by input surname, name, patronymic or number of document.;
• Review of organization guide, to receive Essential Elements in the process of checks;
• Receiving and view of information of vehicles in integrated database by input of state plate number of vehicle;
• Check of vehicles in integrated database of Investigation Department by state plate number, number of chassis and number of engine of the vehicle;
• Receiving and view of information of crossing borders of Astana by vehicles in database of Traffic Police by input of state plate number of vehicle. This function will operate in both cases, in connection with server and without it, when mobile terminal is equipped with local database of registration cards;
• Receiving and view of information of weapons in integrated database of registered weapons by input its number.

Module of depiction of objects, navigation and search on the map is purposed for the following functions:

• View of the map of Astana;
• Navigation on the map;
• The search of the street and address on the map;
• Representation of location of the caller, who telephoned to operator by telephone number “02”, providing possibility to look through information from inquiry service «09»: telephone number, data and time of the call, address of the caller, and also data, time, description and site of occurrence;
• Determination of the shortest route to the site of occurrence;

This module presents all the data, using special layers: layer of streets, layer of buildings, layer of occurrences, layer of patrols, etc.

The module of objects' representation, navigation and search on the map allows determining the shortest route. The route is marked with colourful line from the location of the vehicle to the necessary address on the map. The patrol vehicle itself is marked with special sign on the layer of patrols on the map.

This module gives an opportunity to find the street quickly, it is necessary to choose its name in the list and the street will be marked with colourful line. Using the same method, it is possible to find the necessary house, which will be shown as separate sign on the map (Figure below).
