Automatic Control System "Gorod" (transboundary travel control system) of migratory processes control is instrument of internal affairs bodies of foreign citizens registration on the territory of RK, the local population registration, research of migration flows, violation of law prevention in sphere of population's illegal migration and documents' falsification. The system is equipped with the kit of technical devices, enabling in stationary and mobile regimes to determine the following :
The system completely renders automatic the process of citizens' registration and enables to analyze migration processes. This system is constructed on the base of legislation of RK, but at the same time possesses flexible mechanism, allowing to programme settings, taking into account changing legislation. It was put into operation in Astana in 2002. Such systems are installed in all the entrance and exit checkpoints of Astana, established by Migratory Police Administration (MPA) of DVD of Astana City:
Tasks Solved by the System Single Database of Astana City Composition of the single database, including all the categories of citizens: citizens of Kazakhstan, citizens of CIS, citizens of foreign countries, living or being for short term on the territory of Astana City. Database is formed on the ground of already existing database of MPA of GUVD, inserting data from card index, and also replenishing due to registration.

Efficient Control of Migration Processes Migration Control System is an instrument, enabling to provide statistic and efficient information of action and condition of migration processes in Astana City effectively and in good time. Such systems are installed in all the entrance and exit checkpoints of Astana (airport, railway station, 6 checkpoints of TPA), established by Migratory Police Administration (MPA) of Astana City. The system stipulates for provision of the hotels with automatic workstations and creation of mobile stations in order to unload the central office and increase service level of the population.
Suppression of Violation of the Law Migration Control System possesses powerful computer technologies and communication devices, enabling to reveal various types of violations of the law effectively and in good time. The system includes automatic passport reader, and also database of all the passports in the world. These devices permit to read information automatically, to identify false passports and other documents. Special mobile groups may be created, to increase efficiency of the checks. They can check passport data in real time, being in any place of the city.
When registering foreign citizens, the system prints the registration coupon, containing bar code, assigned to protect coupon against falsification, and also for quicker identification of coupon with a help of passport reader and bar code reader Prospective Possibilities of Migration Control System Development Migration Control System was developed with ability of the further extension and interaction with other services and Ministries, such as: Ministry of Internal Affairs – visas, National Security Committee – permissions, city services – data of the city residents, etc.

The device assigned for authentication of users of the system and blocking of unauthorized access to the programme. It allows fulfilling electronic signature of the documents, and coding. Every user of the system has his own unique personal card, which is registered in the system for his name.
